Al Moore, Sculptor

Our featured artist Al Moore's award-winning stone sculptures can be viewed in our gallery. Watch the video to see how he gave flight to his sculpture Wingbeat, from a solid block of stone.

Wingbeat

Al and his wife Georgia, owners of Bent Pine Studios, host seasonal fundraising dinners in an elegant setting of fine art to raise money for the arts in East Texas. If ever traveling through that part of Texas, Bent Pine Studios’ Atrium Gallery is well worth stopping in to see! This gem of a gallery sits out in the piney woods, nestled among the natural beauty of fragrant pine trees. Opened in 2006, it's filled not only with Al and Georgia's work, but art they've collected from far ends of the earth.

The most recent exhibit included a showing of their works, “Clay & Stone: Al & Georgia Moore” at the NTCC Whatley Center for the Arts in Mount Pleasant, Texas. Be watching for Al's work in 2012 at the upcoming collective APT exhibition to be announced next month; and in the “April in Paris” show in Paris, Texas; at the Winnsboro Fine Arts Market; and at Rockport Festival of Artsin July. Both Al and Georgia's work will be on display throughout 2012 at the Winnsboro Texas Bank.

See www.BentPineStudios.com for future show and exhibition schedules.
